Hi there!  Here are some frequently asked questions.

What are the age requirements to take classes with you?

Children must be age 5 and up. I am motivated to work with children and adults!

How do I know where to start?

If you are completely new to ASL or have not practiced in a long time, then you would be 'put' in Level l.

You will learn basic signs and sentences, we will begin to work on having conversations and you will be introduced to ASL structure and Deaf culture. We will cover topics such as "House and Furniture Signs" or Medical and Emergency Signs that are essential to knowing before moving up to Level ll.

Level ll is an intermediate session where we will dive deeper into ASL and read children's books to practice story telling. There will be a lot of conversations and story telling here. We will also cover more controversial topics such as "Conflicts in the Worlds Signs" or "Political Signs", or "Mental Health Signs".

What if there's a time difference? 

ASL Lotus is based in Phoenix, AZ and connects with students and families across the United States. When you book an appointment with me, you will be asked which state you live in so that our availability times can match.

Can I receive my ASL certification through ASL Lotus? 

Unfortunately, at this time this is not available. 

​

I was late, can we still have our full 45-minute session?

Unfortunately I will not be able to extend our session if you are late.  I will finish the remaining time with you (if you paid already) as I have other clients scheduled.

I scheduled a class and I paid, but I need to cancel. Can I get my refund?

Sure! Each class is $30 per person. If you request a refund, you will only get $20 back as the $10 will cover your cancellation fee. (You have three times to cancel without a fee.) ​

Do you take Venmo or PayPal?

Yes! Please submit the following payment with your name and class date it's for. Once I receive a payment from you, you will receive a meeting link emailed to the address you provided me.
